Wisdom Teeth.

Filed under: News — ben @ 12:55 pm

I had my wisdom teeth out yesterday. Well, most of them… they pulled all four, but the upper left one dropped into my sinus cavity, and will require another surgery to extract. Now I’m all doped up on Vicodin, and ibuprofin… ish. Hopefully I’ll feel good enough to go back to work tomorrow.

Brakes and Steering

I’ve been working on the brakes for the truck today. I need to get the master cylinder mounted, and to do that I had to take off the old one, and do some measuring. I’m not convinced I have a good plan, so I decided to spend the rest of the afternoon working on stripping down my GM van steering column. That was a bust. I wasn’t sure how they were put together, but it turns out there’s a bunch of plastic holding it together at the top end. Ick. I’m not going to use that column now, but I have to have something. I’m hoping to either find a good deal on a Ididit or Flaming River or Borgeson basic column, or get the $120 speedway polished stainless one.

That’s all for today. No photos, maybe next time.

Transmission Questions

I have been working on removing the stock brake master cylinder, and the pedal assembly, and since it is close to the transmission, I’ve been looking at that alot. I’ve noticed a couple of cables, and plugs on it, and am wondering what they are used for…? I’m hoping someone on the HAMB or Traditionals forums can give me some info on them.
