Merry Christmas

Filed under: Metal Casting Furnace — ben @ 8:28 am

Well, it’s that time of year again… Michelle and I just finished opening our presents, and I figured I should upload some photos. Yesterday I spent some time working on my aluminum casting furnace, or more properly, the propane burner for the furnace. I have to figured out a couple of things, like how to keep the fuel supply tube from rotating in the venturi tube, and then I need to get a long hose and propane tank, but then I should be ready to go with it.

Here are a couple of photos of it, the hotwheel car is for size comparison. It’s alot bigger than I expected it to be!

Hooked On Classics

Here are a couple of photos off my cell phone from Hooked On Classics from yesterday. Michelle, Jessie and I went with the Traditionals MN group. Wow, what a shop, showroom, and lot! Tons of nice cars… there was a two-door 1937 Ford humpback that I fell in love with!

This was a really clean, and simple ‘A’ truck, running a banger motor:

And this digger was hidden away over between a Henry J and some later model something (can’t remember right now what). The Henry J was cool too… it was set up as a drag car with the engine sitting half in the passenger compartment!
